Kaitlyn McQuin is an actor, writer, and funny gal from New Orleans, Louisiana. She received her Bachelor’s from The University of New Orleans in 2013 and went on to teach theatre for several years in New Orleans and Washington, D.C., where she also wrote for a magazine and a human services non-profit. In 2018, she moved to Southern California and began studying improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade, where she studied under Dan Hodapp for Improv 101 and 201. She co-wrote her very first screenplay with a partner titled “Party Girl: A Modern Fairytale.” In the fall of 2019, Kaitlyn spent two months in Los Angeles workshopping her screenplay, studying with Billy Merrit at Upright Citizens Brigade for Improv 301 and diving into film audition techniques with Robert D’Avanzo in his 6-week on-camera audition course. She also wrote a tweet that went viral about dating during coronavirus, which sparked laughter, poetry, and virtual connection across the globe. Kaitlyn completed her debut contemporary fiction novel, ‘Te Quiero, Mi Amor’ in June 2023, which she is currently querying with agents for representation. She is co-writing a television series on the birth of the death industry titled ‘Resurrectionist’ with her writing partner in New Orleans. When she isn’t working, she’s asking her rescue pup Lucy, “Are you mad at me?”
